Xiaomi is gearing up for the official unveiling of the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. The details of the duo have been appearing online in recent times, and we think the launch date isn’t far away. While the official launch date is yet to be revealed, new details of the device have emerged, this time by a Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station.
Going by his post on Weibo, the upcoming Redmi Note 10 series will have two models. Both phones will launch with a single punch hole LCD panel, and that might see the fingerprint scanner remain at the side. Also, one of the devices will run Mediatek Dimensity 720 SoC with a primary 48MP camera. The other will feature the recently released Snapdragon 750G SoC and will be equipped with a primary 108MP camera.
From the details of the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro revealed thus far, the former will make use of Mediatek SoC while the Pro variant will settle with Snapdragon 750G SoC. Adopting the new SoC will see a big jump in performance compared to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which never impressed on AnTuTu Benchmark.
Also, the camera performance will drastically improve, thanks to the primary 108MP camera. It’s going to be the first time a device in that segment will debut with such a big sensor, and with the affordable price of phones in that segment, it will be beautiful to see how people will snap the device when it finally gets to the shelves.
As for price, the Redmi Note 10 is rumored to start at CNY 1,000 ($149) while the starting price of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is expected to start at CNY 1,500 ($224). And according to Xiaomi product director, Wang Teng, the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro will launch soon. We expect the unveiling later this month or early next month just before the popular 11:11 Chinese sale.
