Xiaomi continues to upgrade its phones to the latest Android OS with the stable MIUI 13 update. The deployment has been on since December 2021, but it recently started seeding in India. So far, it has arrived for the POCO F3 GT and Mi 11X Pro, while the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max Android 12-based MIUI 13 update has been released in that region. It’s a limited rollout to allow time for Mi Pilots members to preview the ROM for bugs, and hopefully, it will reach the public in the coming days.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro got the stable Android 12-based MIUI 13 update a couple of weeks ago. It arrived for global users before making its way to Europe. Interestingly, these regions have received a subsequent build to address bugs reported by early adopters. Perhaps, it would be a different case for the Indian users, as we expect the company to have addressed those bugs in the current build. Nevertheless, we recommend backing up your files before proceeding with the upgrade as the build is a cross-section Android upgrade and likely to contain bugs.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.1.0 SKFINXM, and weighs 3.0GB. It comes with the expected features, meaning the Android OS version is on Android 12 and security patch level on February 2022. Also, the build has introduced a new control center that integrates Mi Smart Hub. There are new Crystallization super wallpapers, widgets, and sidebar.
Aside from the new additions, the update has improved system performance and stability. According to Xiaomi, both system and third-party apps have been improved and now have fewer dropped frames. You can check the complete changes here.
