Before the official unveiling of the Mi 10T series, there was already a report claiming the device will arrive in China as the Redmi K40. While that might be that case, the Mi 10T Lite is said to launch in that country as Redmi Note 10.
According to a notable Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station, the Mi 10T Lite will arrive China under a different moniker. The device went through FCC before it was launched a couple of months ago, bearing a model number of M2007J17G. And going by the post on Weibo by the Chinese leaker, the model with “J17” will launch with a 108MP camera.
The aforementioned “M2007J17G” is the global variant, where “G” stands for Global. Hence, the M200717C, with “C” as in China, will be offered in the Chinese market. With that said, a modified Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite is what should be heading to Chinese as the Redmi Note 10.
And if the rumors are true, the Redmi Note 10 will be the first from the series to support up to a 108MP camera module. It will also be the first to support 5G in that segment, and with their aggressive low price tag, it will fulfill the company promise of making 5G-enabled phones for everyone.
Interestingly, the Redmi Note 10 is said to start at CYN 1,000 ($149. And if that turns out to be true will be the most affordable 5G-enabled phone. Some rumored specs of the device are; 120Hz refresh rate screen, Snapdragon 750G SoC, a primary 108MP camera, 4800mAh battery, and 33W Fast charge support. We expect an adaptive refresh rate, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and stereo speakers.
For now, that’s all we know about the upcoming Redmi Note series device. We will be on the lookout for new information and will update this space once we see any.
