Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 10S Android 12-based MIUI 13 update weeks ago. The global models received the update initially, which has remained exclusive to that region until now. The update is now making its way to Indonesia, a few hours after the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update was released in Europe.
The first Redmi Note 10S Android 12-based MIUI 13 rollout was called back due to multiple bugs. They include distorted sounds, camera lag, PUBG frame rate drop, and more. That perhaps delayed the update in other regions as the company had to roll out fixed bugs to address the issues. The latest build with a version number MIUI 13.0.6.0 SKLMIXM seems to resolve these issues, which is perhaps why the rollout has started in Indonesia.
The rollout in Indonesia started some hours ago, and hence, it’s currently exclusive to Mi Pilots members. You can be identified the build as MIUI 13.0.1.0 SKLIDXM, and it comes in a 2.9GB package. Along with the build is a stable MIUI based on Android, while the Android security patch level has been bumped to May 2022.
Also, there’s a new Crystallization super wallpaper coupled with improvements and bug fixes. Meanwhile, we recommend waiting on feedback before installing the update, but if you must, make sure to back up your files.
