The latest Xiaomi phone to start pushing the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is the Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus. It’s the same device as the recently released Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge in India, meaning the device will soon get the update in that region. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus Android 12-based MIUI 13 is exclusive to closed beta testers, meaning it will take a few weeks before it arrives for stable ROM users.
Xiaomi announced the MIUI 13 Android skin on December 28, alongside Xiaomi 12 series phones. The trio debuted running the build, which has been pushed to a handful of other Xiaomi phones. Interestingly, all the phones are receiving the build with a new Android OS (12) except for the Xiaomi Pad 5 series. The Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus will also receive the same treatment with the update now released to closed beta testers in China.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding with the latest closed beta build. It comes as MIUI 13 V22.1.14 and weighs 3.9GB. Of course, the build comes with features of the newly released MIUI 13, including that of Android 12. You’d not notice that if the latter due to the presence of MIUI. However, there has been an improvement on the security features with a separate dashboard for security concerns.
If you’re a closed beta tester, you’ll get the update in the coming hours or use the link below to install. We recommend backing up your files before the upgrade as it is a cross-section Android upgrade.
