Xiaomi announced the third batch of phones to receive the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 yesterday. From the official list, over 23 phones are expected to receive the update before the year ends. The announcement also confirmed the rollout has commenced with Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus among the phones to receive the update. As expected, the device is now getting the update but seems to be limited to a few users.
Reports show that Xiaomi has already sold over 1 million units of the Redmi Note 11 series. It shows a warm reception, and hence, Xiaomi needs to reciprocate the love. The company is now releasing the Redmi Note 11 Pro / Plus Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 to improve device performance and address bugs and lags.
Meanwhile, the update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.8.0 RKTCNXM. It comes with a few changes on the log, which is Atomized memory to make RAM usage more efficient. Surprisingly, other features – Liquid Storage, Focused Algorithm, Smart Balance is missing from the update. However, that’s meant to happen according to Xiaomi, given the difference in device models and development.
Interestingly, the update has addressed slow charging issues, and of course, other problems being faced by the device users.
