Xiaomi continues the stable Android 14-based HyperOS update released. The build recently arrived for the Redmi K50 Ultra and has now started seeding for the Redmi Note 12 Pro users. It’s a Chinese rollout, exclusive to limited users for preview.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro / Pro+ Android 14-based HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.2.0.UMOCNXM. It comes in 5.1GB and delivers all the anticipated features. There has been an improvement in performance, connectivity, animation, and stability.
Also, the control panel has been revamped, and some system apps, like the weather app redesigned. Aside from the new additions, the security patch level has been bumped to December 2023 to increase system security and stability.
We expect the public to start getting the update in the coming weeks, with the global release in two weeks. While waiting for the update, ensure your bootloader is locked, as devices with unlocked bootloaders will not get the update. Also, back up your data before installing the update in case of any issues, though we have not seen any serious bugs yet.
When will Global Redmi Note 12 Pro / Pro+ Android 14 HyperOS start rolling out?
We are likely to see the update start rolling out in the next two weeks. It’s about that time after the Chinese release for the global units to start getting the same update. You can follow our social media platforms to know when the update becomes available.
