Xiaomi continues to roll out the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update to eligible devices. The Redmi Note 13 5G started receiving the update a few weeks ago, bringing new features and optimizations. However, some users have reported slow charging issues since upgrading.

Redmi Note 13 5G Slow Charging Issue
Fast charging is a key feature of Xiaomi devices, and the Redmi Note 13 5G supports 33W fast charging, typically filling the battery in under 90 minutes. However, after updating to HyperOS 2, users have noticed significantly slower charging speeds. In some cases, the device fails to reach 100% charge.
Affected Regions and Update Versions
The HyperOS 2 update has been released to select Redmi Note 13 5G users in Indonesia, Taiwan, and globally. The affected update versions include:
- Global: OS2.0.2.0.VNQMIXM
- Indonesia: OS2.0.1.0.VNQIDXM
- Taiwan: OS2.0.1.0.VNQTWXM
While the update has introduced improvements, a charging-related bug is preventing some devices from reaching a full charge. Xiaomi has confirmed that adaptive charging is not the cause, but rather a software issue.
Fix Incoming
Xiaomi is aware of the problem and has already planned an update to fix it, which may have started rolling out. If you’re experiencing slow charging, check the Updater app for a new software update that could resolve the issue.
