It’s only a few days before the official Xiaomi MIUI 13 unveiling, and unsurprisingly, some devices, perhaps, regions are still waiting for the current MIUI build. Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update a couple of months ago and has been trying to finalize the development. And going by the latest report, the Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India is set to start seeding. Also, those in Russia, Indonesia, and Europe will be getting the update.
Xiaomi didn’t update the global Redmi Note 8 for nine months, while the Chinese users were getting new updates every month. They received the Enhanced version of MIUI 12.5 months before the update arrived for global users. Meanwhile, the build is yet to start seeding in India, Russia, Indonesia, and Europe, but that’s about to change. We understand that the Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India is ready to start rolling out, same for the other regions.
Recall that Redmi Note 8 users in India recently got an upgrade to Android 11 a few weeks ago. Xiaomi plans to upgrade the device to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced ahead of the official MIUI 13 presentation. Interestingly, the device has been confirmed to get the MIUI 13 update, expected to start seeding next year. We hope to learn about the global deployment after the official launch on December 28.

As expected, Xiaomi has released the Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in Indonesia. It’s coming with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RCOIDXM. The update bring features on the current build to increase system performance while promising more life between charges.
