MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update arrives India for Redmi Note 8 as Mi 10T / Pro a new stable update ahead of MIUI 13 release

With Xiaomi already rolling out the stable MIUI 13 update in China, it’s only a matter of time before the global variants start getting the update. Luckily, the Redmi Note 8 and Mi 10T / Pro will receive the update, and they have just started pushing a new stable build. Perhaps, Xiaomi is fortifying the phones ahead of the planned MIUI 13 upgrade, but it remains to be seen if the Mi 10T series will get it with Android 12. And while the Redmi Note 8 is receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, Mi 10T / Pro is getting a security patch build.

The Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India started seeding a couple of hours ago. That means it is still a limited rollout pending when the preview is completed, and there’s no bug found. Meanwhile, the update brought all expected features to improve performance while promising more life between charges. Also, it becomes possible to uninstall system apps, and you would notice revamped notification and control center panels. 

Meanwhile, the Mi 10T / Pro received the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update a couple of weeks ago. The device is waiting for MIUI 13, while the new stable update is a security patch build. It’s the December 2021 security patch to increase system security and stability. The update also addressed some issues and fortified the device ahead of the MIUI 13 upgrade.

Unfortunately, there’s no ETA when the device will receive the update, but we’re optimistic it will be available in the coming weeks.
