Xiaomi has taken to Weibo to announce that it has completed the second phase of the MIUI 12 rollout. According to the report, 14 Xiaomi phones received the update, which among them is the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro, among others. We expect the company to commence the third phase of the rollout, which will see the Redmi Note 8 receive the MIUI 12 update.
The Redmi Note 8 is one of the most popular Xiaomi phones yet to receive the MIUI 12 update. Although the device has been in a closed beta testing for the build, we expect the public to start receiving the stable version anytime soon. Aside from Note 8, it has been alleged that additional 14 phones will also receive the update with phase 3 of the rollout.
Among the device to receive the update are – Mi CC9E, Mi Note 3, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Special Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Xiaomi Mix 2, Xiaomi Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5, Redmi S2. Meanwhile, some of these phones have already received a stable MIUI 12 update, and hence, we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
If your device isn’t on phase 3 of the rollout, there’s no need to panic. There’s a supposed list of Xiaomi phones that’ll receive the update with the fourth and possibly the final phase of the rollout. Included in the list are six Xiaomi phones, which include Redmi Y3, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Again, some of these phones have already received the stable MIUI 12 update, which makes us doubt the authenticity. Nevertheless, virtually all Xiaomi phones, including the Redmi Note 8 will receive the update and will expect to see it arrive this month.
