The Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 came as a surprise as we were all expecting the release of MIUI 13. Xiaomi had another plan, and probably to address the issues left by MIUI 12, which saw a revamp of the system UI. Unfortunately, the global Redmi Note 9 Pro is yet to receive both of the last iterations of MIUI, but Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 could soon start seeding.
According to a recent report, a new update is been released to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.4.0 RJZEUXM. From the build number, the current update is for the European models of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It’s a security patch update to increase system security and stability. As usual, the update has addressed a few bugs while optimizing performance.
Meanwhile, the rollout is currently limited to Mi Pilots. They’ll preview the ROM over the next few days, and if in the end there’s no bug, the update will start seeding to the public. However, we have added a link below this post, and you can download the ROM manually.
As for when the global Redmi Note 9 Pro will get the MIUI 12.5 update, there’s no ETA. Xiaomi might be planning to upgrade the device to Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5. If that’s the case, we expect the update to start seeding in the coming days.
That said, we will keep an eye on the development to update this space once the global Redmi Note 9 Pro starts receiving either MIUI 12.5 or the Enhanced Edition. Meanwhile, if you’re running the European ROM, you should check for a new update via the updater app.
