After the successful debut of the Xiaomi Pad 5 series, the company released a more affordable option through its Redmi sub-brand. The Redmi Pad received a warm welcome and is currently in the hands of many people across the globe. It’s now receiving its first-ever major update, but exclusively to the European users.
The Redmi Pad debuted with Android 12 on top of MIUI 13.1, which makes it eligible for two Android OS upgrades. With the Redmi Pad Android 13-based MIUI 14 update released, it’s one remaining OS upgrade. That probably will arrive as Android 14, with Google already previewing the next Android Operating System.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Pad Android 13 is seeding with version number MIUI 14.0.2.0 TLYEUXM and weighs 3.67GB. The changelog includes a stable MIUI based on Android 13, an updated Android security patch to March 2023, increased system security, and advanced search in the settings app.
Of course, the update also introduced a New Widget format for combination on the screen to improve your experience along with Super Icons. The Photon Engine ensures the use of less memory while optimizing third-party and system app performance. There have also been system improvements and bug fixes.
Interestingly, there haven’t been many issues after the MIUI 14 upgrade, but there has been a problem with random reboots on Xiaomi Pad 5. You might need to wait for feedback or back up your files before installing the update.
