WhatsApp is busy working on new features that might debut soon on Android and iOS. The free messaging app has seen some improvement since its inception, and the company has stopped adding new features. They’re currently working on a rich link preview feature to give more details on links seen on WhatsApp status.
WABetaInfo suggests that WhatsApp is making some changes to the way links are previewed on WhatsApp status. The company plans to display more details about a link, such as the title, meta description, featured image, and URL. Those will be previewed instead of plain text with only the URL.

The upcoming rich link previewn in WhatsApp status is still under beta testing. Apparently, the feature is in the early stages of development as it hasn’t been seeded for WhatsApp Beta users yet. Also, it’s being tested on iOS, and although there’s no official information, we expect Android and desktops to get the rich link preview feature.
