The initial Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 rollout was halted due to a bug, which seems to have been resolved, as Samsung has started rolling out the upgrade again. It is still exclusive to those in South Korea, but we expect more regions to start getting the update soon.
Samsung’s promise to release the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update in May was met with a serious software bug. The company had to stop the rollout and pull the build from the server, making it impossible for anyone to install the upgrade. According to reports, users were experiencing lock screen issues, but it seems it has been resolved, with the rollout now live again.
Those in Europe and other regions are yet to start getting the much-anticipated upgrade, but we believe it will not be long before the update arrives in these regions. Meanwhile, in South Korea, the update is rolling out with a version number S90xNKSU3EXE1 and weighs 3.2 GB.
Arriving with the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update are Circle to Search, real-time language translation in calls and messages, text language translation in pictures, webpage summary, and Generative AI-powered image editing. Ensure you backup your data before installing the update.
