After dominating the global smartphone shipment despite the negative impacts on the economy, courtesy of the released Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in early 2022 followed by the flagship Galaxy S22 series followed by an upgrade in the A-series and also taking the most market share in European smartphone shipment, the Korean tech giant is planning on releasing Galaxy S21 FE 4G equipped with the Snapdragon 720 which might take up numbers again.
In 2020, the first-ever fan edition smartphone was released, the Galaxy S20 FE, and it had both 5G and 4G variants housing Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865 processors respectively. Well, the already released FE edition of the S21 is a 5G variant housing the Snapdragon 888 and we weren’t expecting a 4G variant
The reason is that 5G is prevalent these days and everyone wants to have a taste of it as it is even available on mid-range smartphones, however, the Korean brand is bringing in the Galaxy S21 FE 4G
Expected features of the Galaxy S21 FE 4G
While the Galaxy S21 FE 5G has model number SM-990B, the Galaxy S21 FE 4G should be having model number SM-990B2 and according to sources, it has a different firmware from the former. The Galaxy S21 FE 4G has already been certified by the Bluetooth SIG and it comes with Bluetooth 5.2 whereas the 5G version has Bluetooth 5.0.
The Scandinavian, Netherland and Belgium online stores listing say the Galaxy S21 FE 4G features the Snapdragon 720 out of the box which is quite low-end compared to the Snapdragon 888 on the 5G variant. This means the S21 FE 4G would be cheaper, let’s be patient for more tweaks and details before its debut.
