Samsung is now preparing for the Galaxy S24 series release. The Korean tech giant has always released its latest flagship phone in Q1, and while that will continue, the upcoming premium devices will now arrive earlier than usual.
With the release of the iPhone 15 series that introduced new features, it’s likely some Android users would want to switch. Samsung is looking to curtail that by releasing the Galaxy S24 series on time. The devices, which include the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, will make their debut in January 2024.
According to Ice Universe, we might see the upcoming flagship phones on January 18, 2024. However, he stressed the date might not be accurate, but it should be within the time frame. Coincidentally, it falls within the early rumored timeframe, and with the latest leak, we are likely to see the Galaxy S24 series launch that early.
Galaxy S24 series supposed specs
For the first time in years, we will see a design change on the Ultra model. Samsung has supposedly ditched the curved display for a flat one. It’s a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution with a peak brightness of 2200 nits. Under the hood will be the Exynos 2400 processor in Asia, Africa, and Europe, while in the US, Canada, and China, the company will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
There will be a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage option for the Ultra, while Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will get 12GB of RAM and a 256/512GB option. The latter will feature a primary 50MP camera sensor, 12MP Ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto sensors. Galaxy S24 Ultra will get a 200MP shooter paired with a 12MP Ultrawide and 10MP Telephoto lens.
As always, the Galaxy 24 Ultra will have a larger battery capacity. It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, while the Galaxy 24 Plus gets a 4,900mAh battery. The S24 model will come with a 4000mAh battery and charge at the same speed as its predecessor, the same as the Ultra and variants.
