Samsung has been testing the One UI 7 beta update internally since the Android 15 Developer preview. Google has now released the Android 15 beta 4 update, the last scheduled beta update. As expected, Samsung will start pushing the update to the public but only select users who registered for the beta program.
There have been rumors about the One UI 7 beta release date, with many favoring August. That is not the case, as Samsung plans to start the first wave of the rollout this month. We assume the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to receive the update, probably the recently released Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.
The One UI 7 beta update will start in South Korea and the US. It will probably take a few weeks before those in Europe and Asia can register for the beta program through the Samsung member app. Of course, the beta version is not the final build. Samsung will release a series of beta updates before the stable release, which is expected by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, a few changes coming with the update have been seen on the internet. Samsung will likely make changes to the icons – rounder and partly three-dimensional. Users can choose between Classic icons ( shows app with widget label) and Bold (bigger icons without labels). There is a change in the camera app with a new 3D update.
We hope to learn more about these changes when the update starts rolling out. According to reports, the first wave of the One UI 7 beta update rollout is on July 29, 2024, which is on Monday. You can follow our social media platforms to know when the update starts rolling out in your region.
