While Samsung has yet to finalize the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout, there have been hints we could see the One UI 8 beta update soon. As expected, the build is now available for select users, but you can participate via the Samsung membership app.

Perhaps the reason Samsung is still rolling out the stable One UI 7 update is due to the delays it experienced during the testing phase. They have not let it affect the preview of One UI 8, which is based on Android 16. The update is now live in South Korea, with expansion to Europe and the US expected soon.
Details of Samsung One UI 8 beta update
Samsung has released the first One UI 8 beta update to the public. It’s arriving for registered users in South Korea. Only the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are eligible for the public preview. Of course, we expect other countries and phones to join the preview.
Meanwhile, the beta build has a firmware version S938NKSU3ZYER. The update size is about 3.3GB, meaning you should install it over Wi-Fi. Aside from the new features, which are dominated by AI, the Android security patch level moves to May 1 while the OS version is on Android 16.
We do not have a complete changelog, but we expect it in the coming days. Meanwhile, you can register for the One UI 8 beta program via the Samsung membership app. Login with your account and click on the One UI 8 banner. Follow the screen prompts to complete your registration to receive a new beta update.
