The Android 13 OneUI 5 from the Korean tech giant, Samsung, has a smooth and fast rollout period, what’s even more interesting is that the update was rolled out to a wide variety of Galaxy smartphones. The brand also promises that the Android 14 update will be faster, meanwhile, there’s the OneUI 5.1 update that is from the Android 13 as well.
Samsung has confirmed the existence of the One UI 5.1 update, and that it will be released for various devices. The update is expected to be available first on the Galaxy S23 series, which is expected to be released in February. However, it is not yet clear what new features or changes will be included in the update. Samsung has also confirmed that certain phones will be getting the update but has not yet provided a list of devices or a timeline for the release.
Meanwhile, A changelog for the latest update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 has been released and it specifically mentions the update will bring One UI 5.1 which is a requirement to enable the new “Camera Controller” feature. This feature allows users to zoom in and out on their paired smartphone by pinch-to-zoom gestures on the watch. Samsung previously announced that this feature will be available starting in February.
Availability of the OneUI 5.1 update
So following the series of events coming up, one can put two and two together to know that the OneUI 5.1 update will be coming in after February 2023. A note on the updated changelog from the Watch 5 update mentions that the update will be rolled out to flagship models after the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip. This means, here are the Galaxy smartphones that will be getting the update:
- Galaxy S20
- Galaxy S21
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy Z Flip
- Galaxy Z Flip 5G
- Galaxy Z Flip 3
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Z Fold 2

There’s a high probability that the OneUI 5.1 update will still be rolled out to some mid-rangers and other budget-friendly devices but it might not bear the feature mentioned earlier.
