Google Fi has announced that some Samsung Galaxy handsets will now support eSIM. When the Google Pixel 2 series was purchased through Fi, Google Fi eSIM support was initially provided. Google Fi functionality was later added to the Pixel 3 and 3a, then the Pixel 4 series to all other Pixel smartphones.
In reality, the Google Pixel Watch has Google Fi eSIM support as well. However, it was previously restricted to Pixel devices. Google Fi has now confirmed that eSIM functionality is coming to some Galaxy handsets via a stealthy update on the support website – but there’s a catch. You have to keep in mind that to get Google Fi eSIM support, your Galaxy phone must be running Android 13 or above (One UI 5.0 or newer).

Sign in with the Google account you use for Google Fi. When prompted to activate Google Fi, click the Continue option.
It is unknown whether Google Fi eSIM functionality will be added to other Samsung smartphones in the future. Furthermore, for some reason, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 does not appear on the Google Fi eSIM list of compatible Galaxy devices.
