While Expert Raw Camera was disbursed to the Z Fold 3 months ago together with some other impressive camera feats from OneUI 4.1 and then Camera Pro mode, Samsung’s Expert Raw Camera is bringing in two features alongside an update.
Which features are we expecting from Samsung’s Expert Raw Camera
The two features making their way to Samsung’s Expert Raw Camera are the Custom Preset feature and the Save format menu. The functionality of the Custom Preset feature is based on allowing users to save their custom camera settings in case of future use. The advantage of this is not allowing you to struggle to find that setting that gave you that extraordinary photo.
Then the Save format menu allows Galaxy users to save the pictures taken on the Samsung’s Expert Raw Camera in a Jpeg format as the app currently stores in two file formats, quite inconvenient. Meanwhile, the Korean tech giant halted the disbursement of Samsung’s Expert Raw Camera to S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, and then Z Fold 2 scheduled to come in early this year, although Z Fold 3 got the software.
The reason can be that the smartphones need a full camera system update, so the brand promised to seed the software by September, according to sources. Furthermore, Samsung didn’t give the exact date to expect the software on the 3 aforementioned phones but Expert Raw will work for just the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle of S20 Ultra and not the telephoto.
The reason for the S20 Ultra telephoto not being compatible with Expert Raw is because the software is based on Bayer Raw. However, S20 Ultra users can still combine camera enhancements from OneUI 4, camera pro mode, and then Expert Raw’s wide and ultrawide units to produce amazing photography.
