Xiaomi is miles ahead of other smartphone makers in upgrading phones in its stables to the latest Android OS – Android 11. Thus far, a good number of their phones have already received the update, and you can check them out via our Android 11 update tracker. Meanwhile, most of these phones have only received a “Beta Stable” version of the update, which has only arrived for limited users. We expect a wider rollout in the coming weeks, but while we wait, the company is now sending a second MIUI 12 based Android 11 update to the Redmi K30 5G users in China.
The second MIUI 12 based Android 11 update, currently rolling out to Redmi K30 5G users, is another “beta stable” build. It looks like the company is still testing the update as they are yet to start a wider rollout, which will see more of the device users receive the update. You can check for the update via the updater app if you’re using the device, or you can make use of the download link below.
Meanwhile, the update has a version number, MIUI 12.1.4.0 RGICNXM, and is being rolled out in batches. It will take some time to appear on your device, but you can download the full recovery ROM, which is about 3.3GB using the below link. And if it’s your first Android 11 build, you’ll get all the features baked inside the new OS, a new security patch, and improved system performance.
Note: this current build is a “beta stable” and will contain some bugs. You might want to wait for the stable version, but performing a factory reset after upgrading will fix most of the lags and bugs for you.

There’s no stable MIUI 12.5 update for the Redmi K30 5G yet. Perhaps, the build isn’t ready to start rolling out, and hence, a new stable update is being pushed to select users. It has a version number – MIUI 12.1.8.0 RGICNXM – and brings the April security patch to increase security security and stability.
