For months, Mi fans have complained of bugs, which increased after the release of MIUI 12. A few days ago, during a Q&A session, one of the executives said the company will improve its Android skin. He admitted they haven’t focused on stability for some time now but promised to work on it. That should be their priority this year as they look to release only “stable updates.” However, they still need few testers to confirm stability, and preview each build before rolling it out to the public. Hence, they started recruiting stable beta testers in that regard. As expected, they have confirmed the release of selected stable beta testers for India, Russia, and Indonesia branches of MIUI.

This group of selected users will be privileged to receive MIUI updates before everyone, but that comes with some responsibilities. As a stable beta tester, you’ll preview updates, send feedback to developers, which can be demanding. Also, some builds might arrive with bugs, and as a beta tester, you’re expected to live with it until a fix is rolled out.

Meanwhile, with the global MIUI 12.5 update nearing release, there’s a high chance that if you’re selected, you’ll participate in the stable beta test. Xiaomi will start pushing the update globally in the coming days.
