Snapdragon 712 debuts with all the premium features of SD 710 S0C, but adds a performance boost to become the latest “powerhouse for gaming and beyond.” The new chip is built on the same 10-nm process while kryo 360 CPU, Adreno 616 GPU, Hexagon 685 DSP, all remained unchanged.
While the Snapdragon 712 integrates almost the same features with SD 710, the most notable difference is the frequency at which the new chip runs. It runs 2.3GHz unlike the 2.2GHz achievable on SD 710 Soc. The Adreno 616 GPU is The designed to bring console-like gaming on the mobile platform and overwhelming movie experience on your smartphone.
Snapdragon 712 phones, like the SD 710, retains Qualcomm X15 LTE modem. It lets you connect quickly and also ensures fast internet connectivity by integrating Cat.15 downlink and Cat.13 uplink. The maximum peak download speed is 800Mbps and 150Mbps upload speed.
Behind the camera performance of SD 712 phones is Qualcomm Spectra ISP 250, which according to Qualcomm “pushes boundaries for the camera and multimedia playbacks.” It supports 10 bits of color depth and can capture breathtaking shots, while 4K videos are achievable. Xiaomi MI 9 SE becomes the first device on our list of Snapdragon 712 phones, after the official unveiling by Xiaomi CEO, Lei Junas. The devices revolves around a 5.97-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, which is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Meanwhile, paired with the SD 712 SoC is a 6GB RAM and 64/128GB non-expandable internal storage. The battery capacity is 3070mAh and supports up to 18W fast charging via USB-C port, that also serves as the headphone jack.
The Xiaomi MI 9 SE like the MI 9 has a triple camera arrangement. It includes a 48MP main shooter, 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. On the front notch is a 20MP selfie snapper.
Vivo Z1 Pro

Vivo Z1 Pro is the latest device to make our list of Snapdragon 712 phones with some interesting specs. The processor is paired with 6GB RAM for seamless multitasking and Adreno 616 GPU for decent graphics.
The device follows the triple camera setup as it features 16MP main rear cam, coupled with an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens and 2MP depth effect sensor. On the punch hole located at the top left corner of the screen is 32MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

Meanwhile, the device sits on a 6.38-inch AMOLED display of 1080 x 2340px resolution with an in-display fingerprint scanner underneath. The phone is powered by SD 712, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM.
Vivo Z5 packs a triple rear camera with 48MP as the main shooter, followed by an 8MP wide-angle lens. The third lens is a 2MP depth sensor while the front camera which is fitted on a notch is a 32MP with pixel-binning support.

Vivo Z1x

The Vivo Z1x is the fourth phone to Grace our list of Snapdragon 712 phones, and also third Vivo phone to feature on the list as well. It has a different design with the above two but features triple camera at the back, and surprisingly an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The camera is a 48MP snapper, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide wide-angle lens, and 5MP depth sensor. Its features include LED Flash, HDR, panorama, and can shoot videos on 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30fps. On the front notch is a 32MP sensor with AI enchantment and HDR.
Vivo Z1x, meanwhile, has a 6.38-inch AMOLED display of 1080 x 2340px resolution and is a 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel. The SD 712 SoC is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB with an option for expansion.
There’s a 4500mAh battery that supports 22.5W Quick Charge via USB-C port. The 3.5mm headphone is present while the phone will be offered in Aurora Illusion, Bamboo Forest Night.
Realme XT

The direct competitor to the newly launched Redmi Note 8 Pro is now official, dubbed Realme XT. Both devices have likely spec but will run a different processor but with the same memory configuration.
Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device comes with Snapdragon 712 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and outside the box, it will run Android Pie on top ColorOS 6.0.

There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner underneath the screen for biometric authentication.
The S5, powered by SD 712 SoC is paired with up to 8GB RAM and comes in two memory variants; 128GB and 256GB. It runs Android 9 based on Funtouch OS 9.2 outside the box. The battery capacity is 4100mAh and supports 22.5W charging for a quick top-up.
Arguably, the best camera phone on the list with a new Quad sensor arrangement at the back.
