With many earbuds debuting recently with quite amazing features, the Sony device brand has finally made their Sony LinkBud S available with the unique ANC and LDAC support and the price tag on the wearable is $200
The wearable offers an ANC support, that is, active noise cancellation and it’s considered super lightweight with one earbud weighing 4.8g. The Sony LinkBud S is available for pre-order with colour variants of black and white with only the beige version exclusive at Best Buy.
Apart from the active noise cancellation support, it houses an ambient mode so the user can still hear sounds from his surroundings as well as supports Sony’s high-quality LDAC Bluetooth codec. Sony utilises the “link” word in the earbuds saying the wearable is going to “link” your digital life with the sound of reality.
Speaking of playtime and battery life, you get a whopping 6 hours of listening time while the ANC is on and 20 hours of battery life, charging case included. Adding to these, the earbud is said to bear IPX4 rated water resistance. Even if the Sony LinkBud S doesn’t stop the surroundings’ sound, it still delivers quality sounds for the price.
Sony LinkBud S is not the only recent earbud with ANC
Joining the ANC league is also the Google Pixel Buds Pro that came into the limelight at the Google I/O conference. Equipped with the ANC, the Google Pixel Buds Pro also gives users great sounds without distractions from outside sounds.
Apart from the ANC features, Google releases the Pixel Buds Pro with a custom audio chip and beam-forming microphone to ensure clear audio and some great noise cancellation. The price tag for the Pixel Buds Pro goes for $199 just a dollar less than the Sony counterpart.
