Sony PS5 getting a price increase in some regions

Since after covid down to this year, there has been a high rate of inflation in many countries even in the exchange rate due to currency instability. Well, it seems this affected the Sony brand as the Sony PS5 will be getting a price increase in a few countries.

The price increase will take effect in Australia, Canada, the UK, Europe, China, Mexico, and Japan. However, that of Japan will take effect from September 15. Sony Interactive Entertainment mentioned that the price increase was a “necessity” but they will be focusing on boosting the availability of the console. 

Since the release of the PS5 in November 2020, it was always hard to purchase it in a retail store. Most people resort to online purchases of which only a very few people obtain the console after going through a hard time. 

In a bid to make the purchase easier, the brand holds raffles on its official website. That said, the PS5 bundles are always available with the console going out of stock very early. Global orders? The site is currently focusing on the US, however, users across Africa, Oceania, and other parts of the world can still order, although if the PS5 cannot be delivered the order is canceled.
