Sony was among the few smartphone makers to start rolling out stable Android 15 after Google’s official release. The company is now rolling out the update to the Xperia 1 V.
Sony isn’t the most liable with a major OS upgrade, but the company has been doing pretty well with the latest release, given that the Android 15 was released a few months ago. Interestingly, most of the features that arrive for Pixel users are making it to the Xperia 1 V.

After installing the Xperia 1 V Android 15 update, you can use the Private Space feature. It allows you to create a different space to install sensitive or save media files. Also, it brings the new Side Sense features, a redesigned quick settings panel and notification shade. There are new pop-up windows, Bluetooth broadcasting over LE Audio, and others.
Meanwhile, it is the second Android OS upgrade that has been rolled out for the device. It debuted with Android 13, upgraded to Android 14, and just got got Android 15. While the device will continue getting security patch updates, there’s no hope for another OS upgrade.
