This is phone brands trying to make sure the Android 13 gets to their smartphones before the season comes to an end – this time it’s Sony. It has been confirmed that there will be Sony Xperia phones Android 13 updates and seems one has started rolling out.
The Sony Xperia phones Android 13 update covers five Sony smartphones as seen on Reddit via Xperiacheck(a website that tracks updates for Sony phones). The five smartphones look small generally compared to the likes of Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It is worth noting that these will be the five smartphones that comprise Sony’s last two years of major flagships.

The following Sony phones are eligible for Android 13:
- Sony Xperia 5 IV
- Sony Xperia Pro-l
- Sony Xperia 1 IV
- Sony Xperia 1 III
- Sony Xperia 5 III
These Sony Xperia phones Android 13 will get to some regions before others and as such, some users in some countries will get the update before others. One of the interesting features of the update is the camera tweaks on the Sony Xperia Pro-I. The three photo apps on the smartphone (Photo Pro, Video Pro, and Cinema Pro) are getting upgraded.
At the time of Android 12, we didn’t hear from Sony until January. However, we’ve not gotten any official announcement from the brand and five Android 13 updates have started rolling out.
