Sony’s WH-CH520 headphone has been unveiled after a lot of leaks surfaced online. It is worth noting that this headphone is Sony’s latest budget headphone and as such it’s not going to bear a lot of high-end features. Nonetheless, let’s take a look at what was integrated into Sony’s WH-CH520 headphone.
Features of Sony’s WH-CH520 headphone
In contrast to the WH-CH720N, Sony’s WH-CH520 headphone lacks active noise cancellation (ANC) and other cutting-edge capabilities. However in the US, the former retail for only a third of the latter. In the UK, Sony has the WH-CH520 listed for less than half the cost of a pair of WH-CH720N.
Nonetheless, the WH-CH520 has 30 mm drivers and is about 147 g in weight(this is quite light for a headphone). The headphones enable DSEE upscaling, Bluetooth 5.2 connection, and a 50-hour battery life, according to Sony. The WH-CH520 also supports minimal audio format compatibility, including support for the AAC and SBC codecs.
Sony’s WH-CH520 headphone is offered in three colors, as one might anticipate. Despite what Sony’s website claims, all of the colors—including the blue option—are somewhat subdued. The WH-CH520 is now available for purchase in the US, where it costs $59.99.
Comparatively, the headphones cost €69 in the Eurozone and £49.99 in the UK. It appears that Sony will begin distributing the WH-CH520 in various areas, including the UK and the Eurozone, beginning in early March. So if you’re on a budget and in search of a good headphone, we can’t see why not.
