Xiaomi has been rolling a stable MIUI 12 based Android 11 update to a few of its devices lately. Yesterday, POCO F2 Pro started grabbing the update, which has now been extended to the global Mi 10 Pro users. As usual, only a few users will receive the Beta Stable build and should be stable enough for public rollout in the coming days.
The stable Android 11 update for the Mi 10 Pro, meanwhile, is arriving with a version number, MIUI 12.2.1..0 RJAMIXM and weighs in at about 2.8GB. It comes along with features of Android 11, of which most of them have already been integrated into MIUI 12. Aside from that, you also get some new camera functions. They include New AI moonscape functionality, new templates for vlogs that can be saved as drafts.
But while other devices are already receiving the November security patch, the new Mi 10 Pro update could only push the patch to September 2020. Anyway, we expect a new update to start rolling out soon, which will bring the latest security patch. But before you download the stable Android 11 update for the Mi 10 Pro, we need you to see the warning from Xiaomi.
Attention
“This update is a limited release for Mi Pilot testers, which means that the update process might take longer than usual. Expect heating and other performance issues after you update – it might take some time for your device to adapt to the new version. Remember that some third-party apps aren’t yet compatible with Android R, and you might not be able to use them normally.”
From us: if you encounter any issues or glitches after upgrading to the latest Android version, you need to perform a factory reset. That will fix the bug but make sure to have a backup before attempting a reset.
