This year, Google has to launch the latest Pixel flagship in August, meaning they debut running Android 14 instead of the new version. However, those interested in Android 15 are already getting the Android 15 beta 2.1 update, but for stable users, you will wait a few weeks.
Android 15 has been under testing since February, and it seems ready to start rolling out, at least for Pixel phones. However, Google is making sure there are no major software issues before rolling out the update. They perhaps need a few more weeks to preview the build before rolling it out to stable users.
According to an early report, Android 15 source code will arrive next week, which ideally should be followed by the stable Android 15 release. We saw that last year, but Google seems to have changed its release pattern. The additional time since the company has already released Android 15 QPR1 beta 1 is probably to resolve bugs and improve stability.
We expect the stable Android 15 update to arrive for Pixel users next month. There is no particular date for the release, but sources suggest mid-October. You can follow our social media platforms to know when the update is available.
