The June Feature Drop update is available for the Google Pixel Watch. This means that the Pixel Watch will receive the same update as the Pixel smartphones, introducing new features and enhancements to the wearable device.
Pixel Watch June Feature Drop update details
In summary, there are three health and exercise features making their way to the Google Pixel Watch via the June Feature Drop. Google is allowing percentage-based nighttime blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) on the Pixel Watch, after only delivering estimated oxygen variation (EOV) at launch. You’ll see a new “Oxygen saturation” card in the Fitbit for Wear OS app, and this data will also display in your Health Metrics Dashboard.
The Pixel Watch also supports high and low heart rate notifications to track when the metric goes outside of normal limits. A high heart rate message, for example, will state, “Your heart rate rose above 120 bpm while you appeared to be inactive from [x]-[y].” Your Pixel Watch can now automatically halt runs, walks, and bike rides when you “stop at a light or take a quick breather.” If you continue, it will automatically resume the workout.
Finally, Google Assistant for Wear OS is now accessible in a variety of new languages and locations, including Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Polish, and Spanish. And there you have it. Within these few months, the Google Pixel Watch has gotten the Fall detection feature, the June security patch, and the June Feature Drop(now) – quite impressive from Google, one would say.
