The Redmi Note 10 Pro is currently on sale now. So far, a good number of Mi fans that ordered the device have received it. As expected, many of them are complaining of some bugs that have to do with the proximity sensor not working correctly. From reports, the proximity sensor doesn’t work 99%. We expect Xiaomi to react and fix these bugs since that’s what an OTA can do, and going by the recent report, the latest Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max update has supposedly fixed the proximity sensor issue.
The update is live in multiple regions, including EEA and Indian. Those in Russian, Indonesia, and global ROM users are receiving the update, although Xiaomi is yet to launch the device in some of the regions. The global model gets a 291.67MB package with a build number MIUI 12.0.6.0 RKFMIXM. The EEA users are receiving a stable MIUI 12.0.10.0 RKFEUXM, while those in Russia and Indonesia are also getting the build, but with a different version number. It comes as MIUI 12.0.3.0 RKFRUXM and MIUI 12.0.3.0 RKFIDXM, respectively. Also getting the update are the Indian variants of the Redmi Note 10 Pro (Redmi Note 10 Pro Max). It is arriving with a version number – MIUI 12.0.6.0 RKFINXM – and weighs in at 278MB.
Aside from supposedly fixing the proximity sensor issue, the update also bumped the security patch level to March 2021. It improved the system performance and security while preparing the device for MIUI 12.5 upgrade. And yes, the device will be among the first few Xiaomi phones to receive the update, given it just hit the market. Developers, as always, will focus on it for the next coming months and thats the advantage of new phones.
