Xiaomi is already working on the next iteration of MIUI, so it becomes necessary to finalize the current rollout to focus on the next big upgrade. Perhaps for that reason, the company announced the third batch of its MIUI 13 rollout for the Chinese devices, which they have now followed with the second batch of global MIUI 13 stable release.
While the company is already rolling out the stable MIUI 13 update to devices in the third batch in China, it has only announced the second batch rollout for the Global users. And why it looks like a big deal, it is not, actually. Looking at the devices on the second batch of global MIUI 13 stable rollout, they are almost the same phones currently getting MIUI 13 in China. Interestingly, most of these phones have already received the update globally, but we anticipate more people getting aboard this time.
According to the report, 21 phones will start getting stable MIUI 13 updates soon. The rollout, given the timeframe, has started rolling out and would continue seeding till Q3 of 2022. During this time, the Redmi 9, Redmi 9T, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9AT, Redmi 9C, Redmi 9C NFC, and 15 other phones will receive the update. Surprisingly, some of these phones are currently running stable MIUI 12, and perhaps Xiaomi plans to jump to MIUI 12.5 and upgrade the phones to MIUI 13. Also, it’s unclear if they will receive the update with Android 12, but we are optimistic about Android for some devices.
