Samsung has been seeding out the stable Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 update on a lot of Galaxy devices worldwide some of which are the Foldables, the S series, the Note series, and the non-flagship A series. Meanwhile, even though most devices had gotten the OneUI 4.1 update, only a few devices support the smart widget feature from OneUI 4.1.
The flagship Galaxy S22 and last year’s Galaxy S21 series were the first to receive the package. The Note 20 series has gotten their share of the cake as well as A51 and many other devices. The OneUI 4.1 update came with a lot of exclusive features which have fantastic effects on the Galaxy handsets.
What’s new about the update?
The OneUI 4.1 update brings some sleek features like unique improvement in the photo and video editor, better RAM management, and a Grammarly-powered keyboard to enhance typing experience. Not to mention the color palette feature which adds colors to backgrounds and apps throughout the phone as well as an exclusive smart widget feature
According to Sammyfans, the Smart widget feature from OneUI 4.1 is only available on specific Galaxy devices most especially the flagship series. The usual widget feature is a bit different from this new smart widget feature from OneUI 4.1 because the latter can let you insert contents from more than one widget without occupying space.
Which Galaxy devices support the Smart Widget feature from OneUI 4.1 update?
The following Galaxy devices support the smart widget:
- Samsung Galaxy S22 series
- Samsung Galaxy S21 series both the fan edition
- Samsung Note 20 series
- Galaxy S10 series and the 5G variant
We don’t know why the Korean brand hasn’t made the smart widget available on other devices, even the Fold 3 and A52 5G that received the update recently have not gotten the feature but we expect the exclusive feature to be available on other Galaxy devices soon.
