Xiaomi is preparing for the launch of a new Redmi Note 9 series devices. The duo recently appeared on China’s regulatory agency website, confirming the specs rumored earlier as well as hinting at an imminent launch. But while there’s no tentative launch date yet, Xiaomi President, Lu Weibing, might have just revealed the launch time frame.
According to his post on Weibo, there will be surprises after the 11:11 sales. And while this could mean anything, Ithome believes the executive is hinting at the launch of the new Redmi Note 9 series. That makes sense since the devices have shown up on TENAA, and next should be the official announcement.
Nevertheless, we hope to have a tentative launch date in the coming days, just as we now have a confirmed specs sheet of the devices, thanks to TENAA. According to the listing, the supposed Redmi Note 9 5G will feature Dimensity 800U. It will be paired with multiple RAM and ROM, which means it will be affordable, at least, the base variant.
Other features of the vanilla version include a 6.53-inch display of 1080 x 2400px resolution and a punch hole for the 13MP selfie camera. At the back is a primary 48MP shooter while the battery capacity is 5000mAh with a 22.5W fast charging solution.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will run Snapdragon 750G SoC. It will be the first device to feature Samsung’s 108MP HM2 sensor. Around the front panel is a 6.67-inch LCD panel with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. There’s a punch-hole camera for the 16MP shooter, and we’re likely to see a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The battery is 4820mAh with a 33W fast charging solution.
There’s still no price tag for any of these new Redmi Note series phones nor an official launch date. However, since the launch is believed to be sometime this month, we hope to have a tentative date in the coming days.
