Whatsapp has added a few tweaks to the privacy controls and now another is on the way. The upcoming Whatsapp feature will let you select who sees your online status as well as your last seen.
Since texting on WhatsApp began, a lot of users have been requesting a feature to hide their last seen and online status due to various personal reasons and it seems Whatsapp has taken note of this and it’s the upcoming Whatsapp feature making its way soon. Sources proposed that the feature will be available on both iOS and Android.
You can configure who sees your online status by choosing from options “Everyone” and “Same as last seen”. For instance, if you’ve your online status set to My contacts, non-contacts can’t know when you’re online. Previously, Whatsapp automatically blocks new contact from seeing you when you’re online for security reasons. However, on chatting with the individual, he can now see your online status.
The upcoming Whatsapp feature will now help you improve your privacy settings and thereafter prevent non-contacts from seeing your last seen or online status. The feature isn’t available but will be released in a future beta version. Meanwhile, Whatsapp is bringing the upcoming Whatsapp feature to both Android, iOS, and desktop.

We’ve got an increase in group members’ limits, enhancements in security to prevent cyber scams, soon-to-be-released animated heart emoji, and even improved privacy controls to choose who sees your WhatsApp status. Whatsapp is sure one Meta platform that has received a lot of tweaks recently and they’re quite sleek.
