- Launch WhatsApp on the target device and open your chat with the person
- Tap on the attachment icon and select location
- On the next screen, select live location. Don’t select the current location as that would only allow you to track the person’s location at that particular time. Also, selecting a live location means you can track the person in real-time
- The next step is to select the time for which you intend to track the location and click on the send. You will get a WhatsApp message from the person, open the chat, and tap on view live location on the location message from their phone to yours
- Once you open the location message, tap on their profile icon to see the live location on Google maps and click on Get Directions
- Select the Google maps app to see the person’s location.
