Xiaomi phone users can’t unlock bank apps via fingerprint, some devices are stuck on the logo, and more

As the Xiaomi HyperOS upgrade becomes available for more units, reports keep surfacing on issues being experienced by these users. While there has been an improvement compared to previous rollouts, HyperOS, like other OS upgrades, has flaws. However, Xiaomi is working closely with stable beta testers to address these bugs immediately.

The company has released its latest weekly bug report highlighting all these issues you might be experiencing using your Xiaomi phone. According to the report, this week’s report seems exclusive to users running HyperOS. Nevertheless, the Chinese tech company is working to address these problems.

We understand many devices in the UK cannot unlock their Bank apps using fingerprint. It’s exclusive to those in the UK, as no other region is reporting the issue. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not said what is causing the problem. However, they confirmed they are working on a solution that could be released via the server.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra users are having difficulties changing to the classic theme. The problem seems exclusive to Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra with version numbers OS1.0.2.0.UNCEUXM, OS1.0.5.0.UNAMIXM, and OS1.0.7.0.UNAMIXM. According to users, changing to a classic theme results in the device being stuck on the Logo, when rebooting. 

Unfortunately, Xiaomi didn’t say what is causing the problem, but we understand they are working on a fix. It’s possible an issue with the theme app, and we recommend checking for a new update via the app store. 

Last week, Xiaomi 14 Ultra users reported issues with photos appearing black after it has been captured. A new update has been released to resolve the problem, but currently available to Beta testers only.
