US Samsung Galaxy S9 duo gets first update

US Samsung Galaxy S9 duo runs Snapdragon 845 chip, while in other market, the device runs Exynos 9810 chip. Last week, first software update were pushed to Galaxy S9 and S9 plus in Europe, basically Germany, which came along with March Security patch level.

Now the US Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus has started receiving it’s first update, but contrary to the update in Europe, the Security patch level is still in February 1ST. We hope the March Security patch will find its way to Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in the US soon.

Meanwhile, the update weighs 286MB and after installation, your S9 software version will be on G960U1UEU1ARBG. For S9 Plus, the software version becomes G965U1UEU1ARBG.

The stability of Face unlock has been improved

The stability of camera has been improved

Other Changes includes bug fixes, which is perculiar to software updates.

Most Galaxy S9 buyers will get this update immediately they power on their phones for the first time, and it’s best to download the update. But if you have received your Galaxy S9 but haven’t got a prompt notification for the update, then navigate to setting >> software update.
