Just like how other phone brands combined their software with the Android 13, Vivo is doing the same with one of their smartphones. We have the Vivo X80 Pro Android 13 update bringing in the Funtouch OS 13(the stable version).
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered smartphone was released in China with the OriginOS 12, however, the global variant of the smartphone took up the Funtouch OS 12 – so you should note that the Vivo X80 Pro Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 is for the global Vivo X80 Pro. Before this stable version, Vivo has run a series of beta tests (they’ve probably seen the software is good to go).
The Vivo X80 Pro Android 13 update packs a storage space of about 6.29GB(that’s a whole lot) and bears firmware version PD2185BF_EX_A_13.1.10.13.W30. Alongside the software update was the November security patch which will be bumping up the security level of this smartphone.
What’s new?
A major feature of the Vivo X80 Pro Android 13 Funtouch OS 13 update is the cooling mechanism via iManager. According to the brand, it prevents overheating as it lowers the CPU frequency by reducing apps running in the background. The update is currently rolling out in India with other regions to follow in the coming weeks. So if you’re rocking this smartphone in India, the update should have gotten to your device (other regions should be patient as you will get notified when it’s available). Meanwhile, to download, navigate to Settings, Software Updates, and then download and install.
