WhatsApp continues to make changes to the app to improve user’s experience. The latest changes saw the navigation bar moved to the bottom, which should be easily accessible with your thumb now.
The new bottom navigation bar makes switching between the taps very easy. It has added icons to each one, which was previously exclusive to the community tab. Aside from introducing icons, the order has been uttered with Status now ‘Updates.’ Another change is the color, which is now White, it was green before.
According to WhatsApp, the idea is to make it “easier to access what you need, when you need it.” It makes sense since phone screens are getting bigger, it is becoming a problem to reach the top of the screen with one hand. With the new changes, you can access all four tabs without stretching your finger.
Meanwhile, the new bottom navigation has been rolling out for a week. Most people have had it for some time, especially those in India. With the official announcement, we assume the global release has commenced. Hence, if you are yet to get the new navigation bar, you should check for a new WhatsApp update on the Google Play Store.
