WhatsApp has been testing features to improve users’ experience managing work and personal life. A couple of months ago, the company enabled the use of the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones. Meanwhile, with the latest development, you can now use two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone.
The latest move to support multiple accounts on the same phone has been in testing for a while, and now, the public can enjoy the feature. It’s a perfect way to manage your work and personal life without conflicts. Also, the move eliminates the need to carry two phones or use unofficial WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, the WhatsApp multiple account support isn’t available in all regions currently. The company seems to be rolling out the new feature in batches. Hence, if you update your WhatsApp and can’t add a new account, it probably hasn’t got to your region.
How to set up WhatsApp Multiple accounts
The feature seems exclusive to Android, though we expect iOS to receive it soon. To get started, you will need a second phone number, and it doesn’t matter if the sim is on the same phone. All you need is to be able to access the security code that will be sent to it.
Once that’s sorted, head to WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to your name, tap “Add account,” and follow the screen prompts to complete the process. Interestingly, you can control your privacy and notifications for each account.
