Samsung phones have had issues with green lines appearing on the screen after months or even years of usage. In what could be seen as unusual, a Galaxy S24 user claims a White line has appeared on the device after installing the August 2024 security patch update.
We have seen loads of reports in the past couple of years from older Galaxy phone users about the green line issues on their display, which pop up mostly after installing a new security patch update. While the recent report of a White line on the Galaxy S24 follows the same sequence, we are surprised it is a White Line instead of green.
According to Daniel_Joe, he bought the Galaxy S24 four months ago, and after installing the August 2024 security patch, a White Line appeared on top of his phone and wouldn’t go away. It’s always a hardware issue when lines appear on a display, and he has been told to visit the Samsung Service Center for a screen replacement.
Nevertheless, we believe the White line on Galaxy S24 is a one-off problem. We haven’t seen another report, though people complain of their phones misbehaving after the August patch. It’s mostly the display blinking yellow lights after five to ten minutes.
