Xiaomi is rolling out the much-anticipated Android 14 with HyperOS update to their 2020 flagship phones. The Chinese units are getting the latest upgrade, but only select users can download the update. However, you can install the Recovery ROM with an authorized Mi Beta account.
Xiaomi 11 Pro / Ultra has been around for over three years and has received two Android OS upgrades. The latest release makes it the third upgrade for the device, which could be the last we will see. However, we expect HyperOS 2.0 to arrive for the device before its support period ends.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 11 Pro / Ultra Android 14 HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.2.0.UNACNXM and weighs 5.3 GB. It comes with a stable HyperOS based on Android 14 and April 2024 to increase system security and stability. Aside from the HyperOS features, the update added: “New Tiantong Satellite communications, New 5G-A capabilities for better 5G connectivity, but only available when provided by your carrier.”
It will take some time before the update becomes available for everyone, but those with an authorized Mi Beta account can download the Recovery ROM and install it manually. However, ensure you have a locked bootloader before attempting the installation, and check for all the reported HyperOS bugs.
