Xiaomi phones are stuck on the Mi Logo and won’t turn on after the HyperOS upgrade

Xiaomi 12X specifications

Xiaomi has been rolling out the stable HyperOS update before the global announcement some days ago. The company has also announced phones that will get the upgrade in the coming days, but with the recent development, not many people will be looking forward to the upgrade. Many users report a bootloop issue where their phone is stuck on the Mi Logo and won’t turn on.

Unlike previous Xiaomi OS upgrades, HyperOS seems to have minimal bugs until now. The update recently arrived for the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, and according to reports, some devices have refused to turn on after the upgrade. It seems to affect every region, but not every device currently running HyperOS is experiencing the issue.

Some Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro users are unable to boot their devices as they are stuck on the Mi Logo. The issue doesn’t seem exclusive to HyperOS, as some devices still running MIUI 14 are having the same problem. Those running MIUI 14.0.8.0.TLCMICM and MIUI 14.0.5.0.TLCTWXM, both MIUI 14 builds are having the boot loop issue.

Meanwhile, if you are in India, Indonesia, and Taiwan waiting for the Android 14 HyperOS update, we advise you to avoid these builds: OS1.0.1.0.ULBINXM, OS1.0.1.0.ULBIDXM, OS1.0.1.0.ULBTWXM. We believe a different build will be released to fix this issue, but you will have to take your device to a service center if you have already installed the update and your device won’t turn on.
