Xiaomi 12X specs
Xiaomi went for a simple design with the 12X and did a superb job. The camera bump at the back, neatly arranged at the upper left of the screen, is sleek. It’s a triple sensor arrangement, and it also houses the LED flash. At the front panel is another design improvement as the company moves for a more compact design. It measures 6.28-inches diagonal and is surrounded by thin bezels. There’s a punch hole for the selfie camera and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
On the frames are the volume rocker and power button. You’ll also see the SIM tray while the speaker grills are placed on both ends of the device. Xiaomi is offering the 12X in Black, Blue, and Pink.
Xiaomi 12X display
The Xiaomi 12X panel uses a 6.28-inch FullHD+ display. It has an adaptive sync refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Interestingly, the screen supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and up to 1B shades of color to make every detail on the screen colorful. It can reach 1100nits of peak brightness under the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Xiaomi 12X performance
Xiaomi fitted that 12X with the Snapdragon 870 Octa-Core processor. It has the highest core clocked at 3.2GHz and paired with up to 12GB RAM, the device guarantees a peak performance. Adreno 650 GPU takes care of graphics rendering and promises improvement from the predecessor. Outside of the box, Xiaomi 12X runs Android 12 on top of MIUI 13.
Xiaomi 12X camera
For more robust camera performance, we recommend the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Meanwhile, the 12X isn’t bad, as with the primary 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor, coupled with 13MP Ultra wide-angle and 5MP telephoto macro, you’d get amazing shots. Interestingly, the primary sensor supports OIS, and it can shoot 8k@24fps. At the front panel is a single 32MP shooter capable of taking exquisite shots and shooting 1080p@30/60fps.
Xiaomi 12X battery and security
Power is drawn from a beefy 4500mAh battery. There’s a 67W fast charging support, and it’s expected to fill the device in less than 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t support wireless and reverse charging.
For security, Xiaomi 12X uses an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. It’s optimized for a fast response time, and you can combine it with other privacy features.
Xiaomi 12X price and availability
Xiaomi 12X price starts at $500 for the base variant (8/128GB), while the 256GB option with the same RAM would set you back $548. The more premium option with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM goes for $596, and you can order starting from December 31.
