The latest Xiaomi phones to start getting the much-anticipated HyperOS update are last year’s flagship phones. It is the Xiaomi 13 that is getting the update but limited to a few people in certain regions.
It has been 24 hours since Xiaomi presented HyperOS globally while releasing the rollout plan. The update, according to the roadmap, isn’t supposed to start rolling out until next year, but it has since arrived for Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 12T, Redmi Note 12 NFC, and others. However, only Mi Pilots members are getting the update for preview, while the public release is expected in two weeks.
Considering that a stable beta update takes two weeks to become “stable” enough for the public, we are likely to see HyperOS arriving for more people in 2024. The update didn’t bring many UI changes as it prioritized improving connectivity, animations, and system performance. There has been a revamp of the control panel, redesigning of the weather app, new home screen icons, and more.
