On February 26, the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be unveiled with the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, the entry-level Xiaomi 13 series phone has officially been unveiled, revealing its design and crucial specifications.
Xiaomi has subsequently announced that the Xiaomi 13 series would be unveiled at MWC later this month, on February 26. While the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will not be available at that event, the Xiaomi 13 Lite, Xiaomi 13, and Xiaomi 13 Pro are all expected to be available on that day in the worldwide market. The lineup’s entry-level model has also been unveiled in the flesh ahead of its presentation, showing its important characteristics.
Features of the Xiaomi 13 Lite
The Xiaomi 13 Lite will, of course, be the lowest model in the series, and its specifications reflect that. Nonetheless, the 13 Lite will include a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 50 MP “triple camera system,” a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, and 67 W rapid charging. Those specifications may look familiar to those with sharp eyes, since the Xiaomi 13 Lite appears to be a rebadge of the Xiaomi Civi 2, which launched in China in September last year.
That implies the Xiaomi 13 Lite will have up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Given that the Civi 2 is a youth-oriented mid-range handset, expecting the newest RAM and storage technologies shown on the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro would be unrealistic. Along with the 50 MP primary camera, the Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to include a 20 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2 MP macro lens. The live photos also reveal the presence of twin selfie cameras: two 32 MP shooters with distinct FOVs. A 4500 mAh battery is likely to round out the package.
